What I do know is that it stands out, and not in a good way. The simplest solution here would have been to omit the date, which would hew even closer to the original. If, for some reason, it was deemed to be necessary, then it should have at least been color matched to the dial so it blends in better, and perhaps even shifted up more into the subdial to keep the 6 numeral whole.
